Contents: A revised and augmented edition of F. H. Bradley: Miscellaneous Writings (also released as the first five volumes of the
Collected Works of F. H. Bradley), Thoemmes Press, 1999. The InteLex edition has been corrected, enlarged and reset.
The collection includes Bradley's notes on T. H. Green's lectures on moral and political philosophy, selected undergraduate essays, notebooks used in the composition of his major works, unpublished articles, lists of Bradley's readings, a catalogue of Bradley's personal library, a detailed inventory of the Bradley Papers, and a complete list of Bradley's publications. Among the items exclusive to the InteLex edition are a chronology of Bradley's life, his notes on T. H. Green's lectures on ancient philosophy, a few undergraduate essays, translations of poems, a new edition of 'A Note on Christian Morality' with additional material, his will, selected obituaries, and a huge amount of additional reading notes on philosophers from Kant to Russell as well as on French and German psychologists.
Two of the five volumes collect Bradley's correspondence, spanning 50 years, with Russell, Samuel Alexander, Bosanquet, G. F. Stout, G. E. Moore, Gabriel Marcel, William James, Andrew Seth Pringle-Pattison, R. B. Haldane and many others. Additions to the InteLex edition include his correspondence with Lady Victoria Welby, Charles A. F. H. Bradley: Miscellaneous Writings. Dr. Keene's extensive editorial apparatus includes annotation throughout, introductions to four of the volumes and to the various sections, and biographical notes on the correspondents.
At various times, Prof. Keene was Chair of the SIU Edwardsville Philosophy Department, Dean of the School of Humanities and President of the Faculty Senate.
