Orientation: The Journal of Philosophical Research is a unique peer-reviewed journal committed to the advance of scholarship in all areas of philosophical inquiry. It publishes articles from any philosophical orientation, in English or French, that make a significant contribution to the field and it has a generous length limit that provides an outlet for unusual work such as bibliographies, translations and commentaries. Formerly known as the
Philosophy Research Archives, the Journal of Philosophical Research is published annually by the Philosophy Documentation Center and is sponsored by the Canadian Philosophical Association and the University of Notre Dame. The journal also occasionally publishes special supplementary volumes in cooperation with the American Philosophical Association.
